My name is Mohanbhai K Patel.  I am originally from Karadi and relocated to New Zealand many years ago.  Despite my re-location to New Zealand, I have carried out much social and charity work throughout my life.  This work is close to my heart, a passion, and I enjoy doing it. 

Since 1997, I have been involved with the Bharat Vidyalaya Karadi school.  My father-in-law was a Chairman of this organisation and served as Chairman for many years.  After retiring, his continued efforts to fulfil his duties and support the school inspired and had a great impact on me.  I saw that even a small amount of assistance could make a significant difference to a student’s life.  This encouraged me to do more for the school.

From 1997 until now, I have supported the school in many ways.  In May 2018, the school management made the decision to appoint me as President.  This appointment happened very fast; however I am ready for this challenge!

With the support of the school management committee and the most talented teaching staff, I have already implemented, and continue to plan for, changes for the benefit of our students’ futures.

I have also decided to form an international advisory committee for the school, which will consist of seven members and will be led by Dr Bhavini Rama.  The purpose of creating this committee is so that we give our school a global edge.

I have spent only three months as President and I am looking forward to the coming months and years.  I am incredibly thankful to all of you for supporting our vision!  My door is always open, so please do come and see me with any question or concern.
