Achievements of Bharat Vidyalaya Karadi in the last 3 years

Bharat Vidyalaya Karadi is proud to announce that 100% of our 10th standard students passed the Board Examination this year.  This is the third consecutive year where the school has maintained an outstanding pass rate.  It is also important to note that in the 99 years that this school has been running, we have never achieved such results as we have done in the past three years.  This is a monumental achievement.  Thanks to the hard work of our teachers and students, our school is moving upward and from strength to strength.

Bharat Vidyalaya Karadi English Medium has achieved the following in the past three years:

– In 2017/2018, the school started a yearly funfair, which is attended by people from around the region (approximately 1500 people attended last year).  This event is unique as it is solely organised by the students.  The key goal of this event is to teach the students life skills, such as how to interact with people professionally, how to work as a team in order to set up a large-scale event, and how to take into consideration health and safety when organising such events.

– In 2018/2019, the school introduced a Playgroup for children aged 2.5 years.  To clarify, Playgroup comes before Nursery, which the school already has.  The purpose of this group was such that children at this age are able to start preparing for entry into Nursery.  The parents were delighted with the introduction of this group.

– Our annual cultural event takes place every year on 26 December.  This event is incredibly popular and approximately 1000 people have attended each year.  This is another entertainment event, which is organised by the students and is always so enjoyable.

– The school’s transport facilities are excellent.  We have a total of 5 school buses (of which we bought one new bus last year, and another new bus this year).  These buses provide transport to and from the school for our students who are travelling from Char Rasta, Jalalpor, Bodali, Machad, Samapur, and Dandi.

– Due to the current Covid-19 situation, we have taken multiple steps to protect our teachers, students, and parents.  We have strictly observed government advice and urged all students and teachers to follow the lockdown protocol.  We have regularly posted on social media government-approved advice that informs our students and teachers on how they can protect themselves and their families.  In preparation for the school’s opening, we have installed an auto-sanitiser unit.  The entire campus and transportation are being sanitised on a regular basis.  We will be sending a contact-tracing questionnaire to all students and teachers prior to the opening of the school, so that we are able to better monitor symptoms.  And finally, we will be purchasing several infra-red thermometers, which will allow us to carry out temperature checks of all students and staff prior to their entry to the school.  We are the only school in the region to have taken such extensive measures.

– During the lockdown period, we encouraged our students and reminded them that although they were required to stay home, their talent should NOT be locked down.  In order to ensure that our students’ minds remained active, our teachers worked incredibly hard to make sure that they were providing daily online classes and homework to the students.

– In 2020, we refurbished the entire school building, not only to minimise maintenance costs but also in preparation for the school’s centenary celebration in 2021.  This will be a huge event, as we will be celebrating one of the oldest organisations in the district reaching 100 years.  We are planning to invite a prominent individual as our guest of honour, we will provide further information on this closer to the event.

– As a result of our continuous sports activities and participation in regional sporting events, our school was recognised by the Department of Education as being a “FIT INDIA School” (see below).  Our students have competed and won many inter-school events.  For example, during the Khel Mahakumbh 2018 tournament, our under-17 girls team provided tough competition to their opposition and became champions at district level and eventually went on to represent Navsari at the state level competition.

– Due to high demand from the parents of our students, next year (2021) we will be introducing the 11th and 12th standards to our school curriculum.  This means that the school will provide students with a complete education prior to their entry into university/college/etc.  Namely, students will receive their education starting from PlayGroup and then move on to pre-primary, primary, secondary, and finally high-secondary.

– Our aim at the school is to provide our students with a high-quality education and to teach them important life skills, which will guide them towards becoming the best citizens of the world, and the best ambassadors of our unique culture.

– Our Chairman, Shri Mohanbhai K Patel, and the school Principal, Shri Bharatbhai Parmar, sincerely thank our hardworking staff, the trustees, and our donors for their intense support and belief that we can transform our school into a world-class educational institute.  We still have some way to go but we are going from strength to strength and we are starting to see the results!
